VA Tour at Big Cat Rescue

We have so much to be thankful for at Big Cat Rescue. Thanks to your support we are able to give our cats the best life we can, and sometimes the cats get to give something back. Such was the case with our recent visitors from the VA Multiple Injuries Unit.  It was our honor to host men and women of the armed forces returning home from duty and working hard to recover from service related injuries at the Tampa VA Hospital.  Everyone enjoyed the sanctuary tour, and thanks to some special touches by Scott Lope, Operations Manager, the cats put on quite a show for our soldiers. 

 

Thanks also to our neighbors at Smokey Bones Restaurant who generously hosted the VA group for a fabulous lunch after the tour.  For a number of our guests this was the first “good time” outing they had enjoyed in a very long while.  It was our privilege to host such a meaningful event, and it’s the least we can do to say Thank You!
