WASHINGTON, D.C. — Baby panda Tai Shan will have some new competition for most adorable new addition at the National Zoo this weekend as three baby Sumatran tiger cubs make their debut to the public, Saturday.
The Zoo’s newest additions, two females cubs and one male cub, were born on May 24.
Zoo officials will also announce the results of a contest to help name the new cubs. More than 20,000 entries were submitted.
The public can catch a glimpse of the furry felines starting at 9:45 a.m. in the Great Cat exhibit.
Festivities for the day will also include crafts for kids, and talks from zookeepers.
The tiger cubs and Tai Shan are among the Zoo’s recent births, including a baby elephant, giraffe, bear and ape.
