There’s no pussyfooting around when it comes to rounding up a stray moggie this size.
So Italian police really earned their stripes when they had to catch a fully grown Siberian tiger as it took a stroll through town after escaping from a circus.
The 700lb big cat – which can grow to 12 feet long – padded calmly around the streets of Maddaloni, southern Italy, for more than five hours.
‘He was very relaxed and took his time. He seemed very interested in all the scents and smells around the lampposts and trees and left a few of his own.
‘That’s going to worry quite a few dogs in the morning,’ said one resident.
Police and circus workers eventually captured the beast after luring him into a cage with fresh meat.
