Day Tour
The Day Tour is a 1.5 Hour Walking Tour
There are lots of ways to see the World’s Largest Accredited Big Cat Rescue Facility.
We are a sanctuary, not a zoo, so our animals come first. We do not allow people to wander around unescorted. Our tours are all guided and provide an educational experience that includes the plight of big cats in the wild and in captivity and what you can do to save them.
We are closed on Thursdays. We offer guided tours on M,T,W,F at 3:00 p.m. for adults and children 10 and over. These are walking tours and take about an hour and a half and the cost is $29.00 per person. On Saturday & Sunday we offer tours at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for adults and children 10 and over.
In addition to our regular tour times listed above we are offering these special tour dates by reservation only at 813 426-5948 to accomodate our busy season:
Monday, Dec 26th @10am, Tuesday, Dec 27th @10am, Wednesday, Dec 28th @10am and/or Friday, Dec 30th @10am
These are walking tours and take about an hour and a half and the cost is $29.00 per person. For all other times we offer more expensive Private Tours
If you have children under the age of 10 you can ONLY visit on our Saturday or Sunday for the 9:00 a.m. Kids Tour. It is a one hour walking tour and the cost is $19.00 per child for kids under 10 and $29.00 per person for ages 10 and older. All prices are subject to change.
In Florida, weather is always an issue. In the summer it rains frequently, but often only for a few minutes. If you have paid for a tour and get rained out during your tour, we will give you a free pass to come back. Because the cats are spooked by umbrellas, they are not allowed but you should bring a rain coat or poncho if it looks like rain. Tours will be canceled during lightening storms. Paths are frequently muddy so closed toed, old, comfortable shoes are recommended. You may bring your own cold drinks or buy ours but either way, be prepared for the heat.
You are welcome to take photos and video on the tour, but leave the tripods at home, or schedule a photo tour. We ask everyone on the tour to stay together, no smoking, no cell phones and respect the tour guides warnings so that you have the best possible experience.
If you are traveling with pets, you cannot bring them onto the property. Florida law (and common sense) prohibit you from leaving them in your car, even with the A/C running.
Click on the button called Visit the Cats to find out more about all of the exciting ways that you can have fun and help save the wild cats! We offer Feeding Tours, Night Tours and Keeper for a Day tours.
We are often referred to as Tampa’s best kept secret. Big Cat Rescue is unlike any tourist attraction. This one of the most fun things to do in Tampa. Here you can see behind the scenes operation of the world’s largest accredited big cat rescue facility in action.
If you are traveling with pets, you cannot bring them onto the property. Florida law (and common sense) prohibit you from leaving them in your car, even with the A/C running.
Your donations are tax deductible and go directly to the animals.

Hiya,
I’d look to book two spaces on the 1pm day tour on Sat 18th May – how do I go about booking this?
