Bangalore: Conservation efforts can bear fruit only when young people
feel a genuine concern for nature and wildlife.

An inter-school festival on the theme of protection of tiger, called
Tiger Fest, is being held in the city as part of Kids for Tigers
project by Sanctuary Tiger Programme and Complan.
This festival is an attempt to create a platform for children to air
their views and thoughts on saving not only tiger but also lions,
leopards, elephants and rhinoceros.
As a prelude to the fest, students will take part in a “Walk for
Wildlife” through major roads in Bangalore with placards and banners
with messages on conservation.
“Children will be putting up stalls offering solutions on how to save
the planet,” says Usha Ramaiah, coordinator, Kids for Tigers.
