A tiger killed a tribal woman trapped by forest department officials

MYSORE: A day after a tiger, which supposedly killed a tribal woman, was trapped by forest department officials using an elephant in Heggadadevana Kote on Sunday. The big cat has been shifted to Mysore zoo to treat injury on a front limb.

 

However, its condition is stable. The cat is suffering from an injury on its left front leg and it also has two healed wounds marks on its back. Authorities will later take a decision on leaving the tiger back into the woods after treatment. Five hours after the ‘man-eater’ was sighted around 12.30 pm near Heballa, forest officials succeeded in rescuing the male tiger, aged around
