AKRON, Ohio — Three 1-year-old tigers are now on exhibit at the Akron Zoo.

The Sumatran tiger brothers, born in March 2008, arrived from the San Francisco Zoo in May. Since then, the tigers have been getting used to their surroundings, and will now be on exhibit daily.

The zoo’s previous male tiger, Rojo, has moved to a new home at the Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington, Ill. The Akron Zoo has housed Sumatran tigers since the zoo’s Tiger Valley opened in 1998.

Currently, there are only about 100-400 Sumatran tigers left in the world.
