PROJECTS, Meds, & Walkabout:  Come along as we see what projects the volunteers have been working on all day. Then catch up with Karma (which might be better than having karma catch up with you) as she tries to feed Hoover. We follow her out to give evening meds to Little Dove Bobcat, Sabre, Jade and Armani Leopard, Reise, Aspen Echo and Mac Cougars, Diablo the Savannah Cat and Arthur Tiger. Karma makes a bold effort, to get Joseph Lion to forget about the vet being nearby and the tigers in his enclosure, and eat his evening meal.

Got a “Lion” by the Tail?

A few days ago we posted this photo on Facebook.com/bigcatrescue and asked people to go to BigCatRescue.org/win to guess whose tail it is.  226 viewers guessed.

So, whose tail is it?  CAMERON

Letter To Management

NOTICE OF EVICTION

TO: Arthur Tiger, Andre Tiger, Amanda Tiger

RE: 12802 Easy Street, Lakeside, Tampa, Florida 33625

You are hereby put on notice that YOU MUST VACATE AND SURRENDER THE ABOVE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY. This notice is being issued pursuant to Florida law.

This action is being taken because you moved in illegally and without his consent while the current tenant (“Joseph Lion”) was on vacation. Furthermore, you have been taunting him, have ruined his flower bed, left foul odors (a/k/a “stinky tiger smell”) throughout the enclosure, and have moved and possibly destroyed treasured art objects (the red barrel).

Also, you have been posing in front of the camera installed in the enclosure to try to sway Joseph Lion’s fan base to watching tigers instead. This is unacceptable.

You have the right to state reasons why you think you should not be evicted, but quite frankly Joseph Lion does not wish to hear them. Just get out.

Note To Newcomers:  To understand the humor in this here is a little background information.  Joseph is an elderly lion who has a five-section enclosure.  Each section is about 1800 sq. ft.  While Joseph is across the tour path enjoying a vacation in the 2.5 acres vacation enclosure he is watching tigers, Andre, Arthur and Amanda, in marking (aka peeing) all over his home enclosure and playing with (and peeing on) his toys.  Andre, Arthur, and Amanda have the enclosure next door to Joseph’s home enclosure but theirs is getting some upgrades and having leaves raked etc so they were temporarily moved into Joseph’s enclosures and they have had a great time playing with Joseph’s toys and marking everything as theirs while looking aross the tour path to see if Joseph is watching them.

Keeper Corner

Keeper Afton:  Take the time to smile at everyone you see today. You would be surprised at how smiling is contagious! You might make somebody’s day!
-Sioux bobcat

Keeper Afton:  Isn’t Kewlona bobcat gorgeous?!?! Her and her brother are beautiful looking Northern bobcats.

Keeper Afton:  For those of you wondering about the goat…his name is Buckeye. He is suspected to be a month to a month and a half old. One of my coworkers sister has been caring for it as it was rejected by the mother. This baby went back to the pasture it came from and came back only using 3 of his legs. We agreed to do X-rays on him to see if we can find out what is wrong.
