Coordinator Report – Lauren Grant

Sooooo hot today! But we managed to get flea prevention meds done ? We were out feeding until almost 11, but almost everyone took their flea treatment, so it was pretty great! Thanks to Erin Carden for coming in and helping again ❤

During feeding Dylan Lavigne, Erin Payne, & Stefanie Kraus finished the letters that were in the Partner Pantry!! Here’s to hoping they’re all officially done.

Cleaning was later than normal because of feeding, but we got it done!

Fred & Dylan weed-eated and mowed Funcation, then helped move Chaos Caracal home and Illithia Serval out into Funcation. Chaos is in the two enclosures closest to Jasmine & Kali.
Jasmine was shifted into Sapphire’s side so we can clean up and mow in her side tomorrow.

Dylan, Stefanie K., Erin P., & I made a dirt path for Purrfection. She can now get to her den and platform in the side by Tut when it’s flooded. We could still use some more dirt, but it’s a great start.

Thanks again to everyone who came out today!! And thanks to Candy Couser, Marie Schoubert, Mark Mira, Abbey Rivett, & Fred Pagan for helping Erin, Kathryn, Afton, & me with flea treatment today!!

Kristine’s Bobcat Kitten Rehab Daily Reports

Malachite – After Karma was in and cleaned his cage and gave him fresh food, he sat and listened to Flint playing in his room. Then he looked for a way out, climbing the cage sides and digging. He’s so cute, he gets himself upside down on the side of the cage and tries to dig his way out like that, lol. Silly boy! After a while of that, he settled down for a nap but was woken up by the loud thunder.

Flint it didn’t phase, but Malachite acted a little scared of the thunder. He sat in one place and looked all over and would get into his hut, then out looking all around. After the thunder quieted down, he tried to find an escape route again, then he decided to settle down for a nap.

He napped for quite a while and then woke up, played for a little bit with his huts and with his stuffies in the back part of his cage. Then he was back to napping back there with his stuffies. He woke up again just a bit ago sat right outside his hut and looked around, then went right back in his hut.

As I write this, he came back out and is sitting in the back section playing with his scratching pole. He goes in and out of his hut a lot, and he’s so quiet. He’s such a cutie pie!

Have a fantastic Thursday!
Warm wishes, Kristine Metzner

Flint – Precious Flint got back to his room, from his time outside, in the late afternoon. He had a nice freshly cleaned room with a big plate of food and two water bowls that are secured in a metal holder.

He checked everything out in his room, before starting to play. He played with his stuffies for a bit, then went over to his food plate and ate what looked like most of his dinner. Then he took off to play like mad for a bit.

He ran around and attacked his posts, played in his triangle scratcher and attacked, wrestled and carried his stuffies around all over. Then he took a short nap, woke up and played just a few minutes, but was still tired from his busy day outside, so he settled down for another nap, behind the camera.

Later he woke up ready to play some more. He ran around, played with his stuffies doing somersaults with them and his hut, lol. So cute! He ran and attacked his palm tree, then he would run across the room and grab a stuffie and run all over with it in his mouth.

He played in his water bowl just a little bit, too. He took another nap and then woke up and played again. He has so much fun running and playing! He is too cute playing with his hut. He really wrestles hard with it and dives inside then back out, then rolls around with it and then when he wears himself out, he naps on it. So adorable!

As I write this, he had pushed his hut right up to the camera and then got on top of it to take a nice nap. So we have a close up of him napping. He is just too adorable and precious! 🙂

I wish all of you an amazing day!
Warm wishes, Kristine Metzner

Cinder and Ash – In the afternoon, Ash and Cinder wandered around the front section for a while checking things out. They just walked around, Cinder paced the fence a bit and Ash sat on the Coolaroo.

They were in the front left side when Karma and Brittany came out to get Flint from his outdoor time in the sun, and they ran to the very back section and hid when they saw them. A while later they got on top of the tall platform to lounge and watch things, then a thunderstorm with rain moved in and they both ran for cover.

It lasted for a while, so they stayed somewhere dry and must have continued to nap even after the storm because I didn’t see them again until later overnight. That’s when they came back up to the front section and wandered around for a while.

They played on the logs a bit and then zoomed really fast back and forth chasing each other in the front and middle sections. Then Cinder paced the fence for a while. After that they started zooming around chasing each other again, then they wrestled on the Coolaroo and the ground by the logs, lol.

They zoomed around, jumped up on the hanging shelf then on the den and zoomed some more. They were playing up a storm! As I write this, they are still wandering around the front and middle sections and playing. They are so precious! 🙂

Have a great day everyone!
Warm wishes, Kristine Metzner
