Big Cat Updates

Coordinator Devin Saari’s Report for Sunday, August 28, 2017

Today was a very rainy and wet day! But luckily we had lots of volunteers that were happy to help feed and clean through the rain.

There was a meat delivery today.

Seth was having an amazing time in the rain storm running and rolling around!

Antonio came over form the gift shop to help Honey and Pierina with food prep.

Steve, Vicky, Victoria, and Romina worked on a project in the rain. They were able to get the sticks off the roof, pull some vines, and make a dirt slope in the cage next to Riese.

Bobcat Rehab August 30, 2017

Big Cat Friend Deb Quimby submitted this photo taken by Big Cat Friend, Robin Gable. This is Keeper Karma in a Ghille suit doing keeper tasks for little rehab bobcat kitten, Cooper. Notice the tongs in Keeper Karma’s hand. She is in there cleaning the cage and collecting poop. Cooper is safely locked out of this section while the cleaning is being done.

One of these trees is not like the other. 🤓

Note from Keeper Karma: Cooper is really not happy about being locked out of his large section while work is being done on it. He was sitting on one of his shelves in the small section barking and growling at me the whole time. Today I made him a special enrichment tube stuffed with small bags of catnip and cinnamon. They rattle when the tube is moved. I’m not sure if the camera is working on the small end, but I’m anxious to see if he pays any attention to it.

Big Cat Fan Art

There is am amazing artist, Cindy Arthur, who does line art drawings of people’s domestic pets. She spread her wings and opened her heart and began drawing the cats of Big Cat Rescue.
