Banham Zoo Still Baffled at Death of Siberian Tiger

The tiger at Banham zoo that was mysteriously found drowned in its enclosure pond is still baffling her keepers.
It is thought that she may have had a stroke, but as yet nothing positive is known.
A Banham Zoo spokesman said: “People have been posting messages on our Facebook page, and everyone that comes in says what a sad loss it is.”
Malyshka, one of the top five breeding tigresses in the world, also has her own memorial page on Facebook, which has been flooded with tributes.
Angela Smith, the charities minister, who earlier this month denounced the concept of zoos, describing them as “relics of the Victorian era”. Arguing that while certain venues “tried very hard”, it was necessary to address the issue of animal welfare.
