The kids are going back to school. Would you like to squeeze in some last minute summer fun? The Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, FL is an educational and awe inspiring experience, and it’s right here in our back yard.

The sanctuary evolved from a need to save exotic wild cats from abuse, serious illness, and certain death. It has grown into one of the largest wild cat sanctuaries in the world. The Big Cat Rescue houses over 100 cats of varying species including bobcats, lions, tigers, lynx, ocelots, and many others. As a visitor you will be able to get up close to these beautiful animals.

Guided tours of the sanctuary are held daily Monday through Friday. Children under 10 years old are only permitted on Saturday for a special kid’s tour. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost $25 for adults and $15 for kids. If you are the type of person who cares enough to protect their pet or a feral from overpopulation, they have an ongoing SPECIAL OFFER. Bring in an original receipt from your vet showing that you spayed or neutered a pet, or a receipt from an animal shelter showing that you adopted a spayed or neutered pet within the past year, and get a FREE PASS for the day tour. That is a $25 savings!

Big Cat Rescue has several ways to experience it. They offer wedding services, field trips, parties, camp, and private tours. See their website for more in depth information, They are located at 12802 Easy St, Tampa, FL, 33625 just 15 minutes from the Tampa International Airport.

They are a non-profit organization and all proceeds go directly to the animals.
