Bobcat May be to Blame for Pet Deaths – abc Video

PEARLAND, TX (KTRK) — A bobcat may be responsible for the deaths and disappearances of several pets.

Pet owners have reported an increase in attacks recently in Pearland and Friendswood. A woman photographed the bobcat near Pearland High School. Wildlife biologists say bobcats are fairly common, and the animals can attack small dogs and cats if the pets are left outside at night. They’re not generally considered a threat to humans.

Animal control set up a trap two weeks ago, but it hasn’t caught anything yet.
