Bobcat sighted in Wolfpit area of Norwalk

NORWALK – The Wolfpit area of the city is getting wilder.

A bobcat was sighted Thursday morning on Peaceful Lane.

"My husband said is that a dog across the street?" Cindy Clark recalled, "and I said no, that’s a big cat. Then he saw the tail and knew it was a bobcat."

Peaceful Lane is off Murray Street at the Westport town line. Coyotes and foxes have been seen in the area in recent months. The Clarks also regularly see skunks, turkeys, owls and hawks.

"We have a little bit of woods," Cindy Clark said.

The couple has two cats, but they stay indoors.
