Chelsea Feeny first arrived at Big Cat Rescue in early 2009. Chelsea has had a variety of responsibilities over the years. She currently oversees the intake and training of new volunteers and interns. She is also a member of the Volunteer Committee that designs, maintains and oversee’s the volunteer program as a whole.
With a background in both Business Psychology and Non-Profit Management, she works tirelessly to find, welcome, and nurture new members of the Big Cat team!
She aims to share her passion and excitement for this magnificent sanctuary with all of the guests, donors, and volunteers that help to make Big Cat Rescue what it is today.
My Superpower is: I can see many sides to every situation
I have always been able to figuratively step into other’s shoes and see the world from their perspective. This allows me to get along with a wide variety of people, coach others in leadership and conflict management, and mediate issues as they arise. This “superpower” is an asset in both my personal, as a foster parent of teens, and professional life; allowing me to work with interns/volunteers from all over the world and distinctly different backgrounds, and help my coworkers to navigate new jobs and new working relationships with ease. I prefer to work my magic in the background but rest assured I am here when you need me 🙂
