CORVALLIS, Ore. — Wildlife experts along with Corvallis Police trapped and killed a cougar found in a Corvallis neighborhood.
Experts say a cougar had been living under the deck of a home in the 4100 block of NW Boxwood Drive for several days.
The animal had dragged and eaten a deer carcass below the house.
The cougar had also killed a house cat and attacked dog.
Police say the cougar’s behavior and its close proximity to people created a safety concern.
