Cutting Animal Services

I just got off the phone with Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin Beckner’s aide, Ryan, and he said he has spent his morning sorting through about 500 emails regarding the animal services budget item alone.  He said this has become a hot topic and they are feeling it.  Thank you so much for jumping in and speaking up!!

PLEASE keep those phone calls going and emails coming in, though.  And if you haven’t called or written already, now’s the time. These hearings are all the way through September.  I’ve contacted every newspaper reporter and news station reporter I can think of to try to help get as much publicity as possible.  If any of you out there have any contacts at all, please don’t be shy to use them and contact them.

It’s a tough time for everyone, including the commissioners, who are going to have to make Solomon’s decision on just where to cut this budget. Only we can speak for the animals, though.

Place a quick phone call and just tell them NOT to cut animal services and cruelty investigators, that’s all you have to say:
