Keeper Lauren Buckingham’s Coordinator Report for Monday 12/18/2017
It was a warmer day today but still a good one. We had a good number of volunteers to get things done.
The Auburn project group finished Jasmine’s enclosure, they will not be here tomorrow but will be back Wednesday. The next project is Running Bear & Little White Dove’s enclosure.
The recovery hospital was swept and mopped, cages cleaned and put away. The Windsong hospital needs to be swept and mopped tomorrow.
Babycakes really liked the ground beef and red that Becky brought in over the weekend.
Reise is a little hesitant of Manny but came out to eat midday and was out and about this afternoon.
We got two new interns today.
Operant signs offs were done and also enrichment handed out.
Keeper Lynda Licht’s Coordinator Report for Sunday 12/17/17
Although, at first, it seemed we were going to be light on volunteers but today turned out to be a coordinators dream. Everything went so well, mainly because we had several red shirt partners in the gift shop to cover tours/backups that freed up interns to do food prep early (before lunch)and supervise the work groups. The 4 greens we had worked it out between the specialty tours and cleaning as well.
The work group from Auburn came today for the week and they are AWESOME! They got thru Pharoah’s enclosures AND also Banshee’s old one. Romina was back today for her level 2 and she supervised them along with Abby and Delilah. Tomorrow the next enclosure is Little Dove’s old one.
Anabelle got her last feeding signoff
Victoria got her last feeding tour signoff
Brittany fed 2 BIG cat sections with me for signoffs as well as a quarantine signoff
Delilah passed her map test today as well.
We moved the Amana dryer into place and it works! We did 5 loads of Will laundry.
We ended the day with chores done early so the interns all went out to do enrichment before the sun set.
Everyone agreed it was a great day!
Keeper Sue Messineo’s Coordinator Report for Saturday, 12/16/17
Although a little short handed today, we got a lot of sign offs for cleaning, feeding and operant done for both interns and volunteers.
All of the cats ate really well today.
Joe and Cam loved the large turkey drums.
It was a beautiful day at BCR

Facebook Fundraiser For Christmas
Some of you have messaged me for details on how to do a Christmas Fundraiser for the Cats. It takes about $8,000 per day to fund the sanctuary. So your offer to do a Christmas Fundraiser for the cats is truly truly appreciated.
The easiest way to do that is by using the Facebook Fundraiser feature. They will process the donations and twice a month they transfer those funds directly to the sanctuary. You never have to hand any part of that. Learn how to do a Facebook Fundraiser at https://BigCatRescue.org/facebook-fundraiser/
