Fabulous day today! We had a great group of volunteers and interns that made the day run smoothly! Picky cats ate well and tours were full! It was intern Elle’s last day! We look forward to seeing her again soon!

December 29, 2018 – Angie Gabor

Great Day Today!!! Lots of awesome volunteers came in to help take care of the cats and guided tours. Lots and lots of tours today. We got of sign-offs done for feeding, enrichment, and both specialty tours. Awesome Day Overall!!

Armani the Leopard came to Big Cat Rescue in 1997 with her sister Jade. In the early days, she was taken out in public, to educate people about the plight of big cats. We soon learned this was wrong. If we made the cats look like pets, people would want to own them as pets, no matter how many times we would say it was a bad idea. We no longer take our cats offsite for any reason, and Armani played an important part in our progression. Instead, we invite guests to meet the cats and learn about them at the Big Cat Rescue Sanctuary in Tampa, FL.
