Eight-year old boy mauled to death by leopard in Tohoo village

Hamirpur (HP), Mar 18 (PTI) An eight-year-old boy was mauled to death by a leopard in Tohoo village in this district today. The boy, who was a student of class III, had gone to ease himself in the morning when the leopard pounced on him and took him away to a nearby forest area. Hearing the boy’s screams for help, villagers rushed to the spot, but failed to capture the leopard. The child’s body was later found at a nearby stream. Himachal Education Minister I D Dhiman visited the parents of the boy and gave a compensation of Rs 25,000 to his family.
