Cat Updates

Cameron was getting Ivermectin today. he tasted it in the first bite and made it quite clear he was not going to eat breakfast after the keepers pulled that trick on him. Keepers, of course, took him more food. You should have seen the look he gave the keepers.

Zeus ate a good breakfast. Today, his favorite food was red meat.

Projects

EVERYONE, keepers, staff, interns, EVERYONE carries a radio so everyone knows where everyone else is and what is going on.

Bobcat Rehab Area Update: They are putting in the last of the poles in the fourth enclosure. Once that is done they will begin putting the roof on. The chain link has been delivered.

Gale is working creating a lunch room area for the volunteers, previously that was a table in the cat’s food prep area.

A team of volunteers is working on making improvements to the gift shop.

Kewlona and Dryden are getting more cage improvements adn we are hoping to move them soon.

My husband and I came from Washington DC to visit BCR. We thoroughly enjoyed the Keeper Tour with Babs and Rebecca, we could tell they love working there and the cats are extended family to them. They really took their time and answered all our questions. Thank you for a spectacular start to our vacation! It was truly a highlight. They have both been here giving of the hearts, time, and effort for the cats for a long time. They know the cats very well. They are both totally PAWSOME! My PURRR-sonal all time favorite tour is the Keeper Tour because guests work with a keeper to make Enrichment goodies for the cats and then walk around with a keeper to watch the cats enjoy the goodies..
