Angie Gabor's Coordinator Notes for Sunday, 2/4/18

It was a wet one, today.

We got lucky and were able to feed and clean without rain. We got some sign offs done for cleaning, feeding and enrichment.

Cameron & Joseph were difficult eaters today. We had better luck with the tigers.

The morning tours were nice and dry, but even though the pm tour was wet everybody had a good time.

Cats On The Move (In case you missed it)

Kewlona and Dryden have moved to Little Dove and Banshee's old cage suite.  They have an overhead sky walk that connects the cages.  This gives these playful bobcats more space and new territory to explore.  They were kind of shy at first but are now loving it.

Zucari was moved to Kewlona and Dryden's previous suite of cages.  As you can imagine this feisty fellow had a ball checking out all the smells and marking everything as his.

Gabby is home from vacation.  It took her no time at all to check out all the changes keepers had made while she was away.  Of course, she also had to prance around and spy on the neighbors to see what they were up to.

Priya is now on vacation and having a good time.  You can watch her streaming live 24/7 at Explore.org/bigcatrescue  Please note, there is a chat room below the live cams, feel free to use the Explore.org snapshot feature to take photos of Priya and share them in that chat room.

Manny is in the FunCation enclosure.  He has investigated every inch of the 22,000 square foot, too.  Keepers have gotten some cute photos so be expecting to see those soon.

The following kittens have reached two pounds, are healthy, well socialized and ready to find their furever homes so will be returning to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

Foster kitten adoption followup: I adopted one of the babies from the cabana ? This is Luna (aka Tasha/Diana). I have to say, the socialization she got is so evident! She is such a confident and cuddly girl ?

The cats just received $7,846.71 from Facebook.  THANK YOU, ALL of you for the donations and the shares to make this happen!!  YOUR EFFORTS generated these funds for the care of the cats!!

Howard Baskin always smiles at strangers as his way of generating a little more love in the Universe.  He inspired this design called "I Smile Back" as a way for people wearing the tee to inspire those who see it to smile.  Cindy illustrated that idea with our "smiling" Natalia the Amur Leopard.  The proceeds go to funding the freedom fight for exotic cats.  What's not to smile about?  CLICK HERE to see other colors and sizes
