Field Trip to Big Cat Rescue

Field Trip to Big Cat Rescue

Ligeia was lucky enough to be able to go with her students to the Big Cat Rescue, a sanctuary for tigers, lions and other “big cats” rescued from circuses and homes where people somehow thought it would be a good idea to have a baby tiger as a pet.

Here are some pics from the event.
And here is Ligeia with her students. They represent China, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Angola (what a treat – Ligeia had never even met any Angolans before this semester!), Vietnam and Venezuela.
Mindy and Ligeia went there several years ago in January 2008. You can even check our blog for pictures. ūüôā If you are ever in the area, we highly recommend a tour, especially at feeding time in the evenings. Be sure to make a reservation! (bigcatrescue.org)
Lots of love,
Ligeia and Mindy :):)
