Found a dog in Town N Country area of NW Tampa

About two days ago a dog appeared in our yard.  I kept hoping he would wander home, but he stays.  I will roam neighborhood for signs, but I think if he were from nearby he would have headed home. Someone may have intentionally dumped him here knowing we would find him a home.  He has a choke collar, no tag, is timid but when I finally coaxed him to me he appears very gentle, really sweet.  Ribs showing so I just had to feed him.  Slight limp.  Carole is posting on petfinder and will send to some rescue groups she knows.  Looks like at least part boxer and/or pit bull.  We cannot keep him but I will feed him hoping we can find a rescue group to find him a proper home.  If any of you know of anyone who could take him to do that, could you pass this on with my phone numbers below?  Thanks!
