FWC meeting Wed. June 17 carpool and instructions

The FWC meeting is this Wed. June 17th beginning at 8:30

The part we are interested in isn't likely to start before noon.  I will be arriving there at 8:30 and plan to stay all day, both days if necessary.

I would suggest anyone that can plan to do the same, at least on Wed., but for those who can't come all day, noon to four is probably fine.  Carpools should set up to leave BCR at 7:30 am  and 11:30 am as they usually break for lunch but you never know when.  I will try to call in to the office staff left behind to keep them updated on the time schedule as it unfolds.

The breeders and dealers often slash our tires/valves and harm our vehicles, so take off your Big Cat stuff if you can.  We won't be taking our van.  We will ask one person to guard our cars in the lot but I don't know the layout there and if we can all park together.  My truck is tricked out with all manner of surveillance, so if you see me, park near me.

Most important:  To send a new letter to your lawmaker about this that I just posted last night, go to:  http://capwiz.com/bigcatrescue/issues/alert/?alertid=13550526

To brush up on the topics that will be discussed go to:  https://bigcatrescue.org/laws/fwc.htm

To see a slide show of 201 pictures of horrible conditions for big cats in FL go to:  http://www.911animalabuse.com/images/FLAbuse/index.htm

Non Floridians cannot contact FL legislators, but you can write to Col. Julie Jones at RuleChanges@MyFWC.com and tell them what you think about the conditions they allow.

Map from Big Cat Rescue to the FWC meeting.  Takes an hour by way of Veterans and nearly 2 hours if you take I75

Be sure to wear the badge so that the FWC can see that we are all together.  If any of the bad guys start getting in your face, just ignore them and walk away.  They are typical bullies.  All bark.  No bite.
