Georgia’s "Wild Adentures" gets new tiger cub

March 22, 2007

Valdosta – Wild Adventures is welcoming its newest cast member, although this one is a bit wilder than usual.

And it eats significantly more too. It’s a tiger cub, and at 17 weeks this baby boy is weighing in at almost 30 pounds.

When fully grown this Siberian Bengal mix will weigh up to 700 pounds and measure about 8 feet long.

And it will soon be up to park goers to determine his name.  “He does not have a name, so we’ll be rolling out a new contest for the public and our pass holders to help us name the baby; so stay tuned to Wild for more details,” says Sara Sumner, Public Relations Coordinator at the park.

Once the tiger is older, he will star in animal shows and educational presentations with the park’s two other wild entertainers.
