Jammu, Feb 2 A leopard caught in a Jammu and Kashmir village and brought to a wildlife sanctuary here has fallen ill, an official said.
It was seized a fortnight ago when it strayed into Rai-Suchani village, about 30 km southwest of winter capital Jammu. But ever since it has been brought to the Ramnagar wildlife sanctuary in Jammu, it has not been eating.
‘The leopard probably feels isolated and does not like his new home at all,’ a wildlife official said. He said doctors who examined the leopard described its condition as critical.
