Today is Nala Serval's 6 Year Rescue Anniversary! Nala is a purr-fect example of why these exotic cats shouldn't be owned as pets - when her owner passed away - no one else could handle her Wild Cat-itutde. Lucky for her she gets to live the rest of her life in Paradise! Learn her story here: http://bigcatrescue.org/nala-serval Sponsor her for her special day here: https://big-cat-rescue.myshopify.com/products/serval-sponsorship

Big Cat Updates

Ginger wasn’t feeling well yesterday, and today is the same. She was brought inside to the recovery hospital this morning, and she will be seen by the doctor this afternoon.

Coordinator Report – Afton Tasler

Busy day today!! We started the day with all of our tours full. Thank you to all of the keepers who came in when I asked for help. It was great seeing different faces on a Friday.

Thank you to Alyssa for helping me get Ginger inside so the vet could see her.

Thank you to Victoria for staying late to help the interns get out at a decent time.

I was in the hospital during the afternoon and evening, so it was great that everyone stepped up to cover tours and chores.

I can’t say thank you enough for everyone’s help today.

-Afton

Videos of the Day

Ginger Serval being seen by Dr. Justin Boorstein. She isn’t eating and that’s NOT like Ginger!

Part 2 – X-rays

Part 3

Afton captured some fun footage of silly Zabu with her beloved big red ball.

We buy all of the cats’ toys from WildlifeToyBox.com to ensure they are safe for the cats. Thank you to everyone who helps us provide for these great cats. Did you know that at Big Cat Rescue 100% of donations received go directly to the cats, that includes donations made through Facebook Fundraisers? Things like salaries for the small staff NEVER come out of donations.

Are you actively making the Call of the Wild every week or are you assuming someone else is doing it? The only way things will change is if this issue is important enough to each of you that each of you not only make the call of the wild every week but that you also use the info at CubTruth.com to help your friends understand the importance of this.
