Notice Foxtrot in the back behind the logs. Echo lives in the next section over and shared a wall.

Echo has already mastered the art of camouflage.

We have three traps set across FL to try and help 3 bobcats who need help but are too evasive to net or dart.
Bobcat with drain pipe stuck on his neck – This bobcat has been seen a few more times recently and still has the drain pipe on his neck. Here is the photo of the trap set for him. Obviously, a lot of prey in the area so luring him into the trap has not been successful, yet. We will keep trying.

Another Bobcat Call – Today, Carole got a call from a guest who had brought his family here recently. He’s a Realtor in DC and just came across a family keeping a bobcat in their basement. He’s going to try and talk them into releasing the cat to us. This is NOT the actual cat in the photo. We will keep you posted.

Very wet day today; it rained all day! Luckily we had lots of volunteers to get feeding and cleaning done! The cicle cats all loved their icy treats! Interns that needed sign-offs got them. Picky cats ate well. The interns are in the process of deep cleaning the kitten cabana.
That’s all for today!

Another fantastic Sunday. No rain and a nice breeze made it a lot more pleasant to work outside today.
We had red shirts aplenty but we were light on senior keepers, so I had to dust off my cleaning skills today to cover a section. I realized how much I miss it – quality time around the cats and a great sense of accomplishment to give them a clean place to eat and live. Oh, and thank goodness we have Level 3 interns that have chosen to spend so much time here with us.
Interns had food prep and the cooler clean by lunchtime, so in the afternoon we did various projects:
- Picked up sticks from all over the sanctuary.
- Took out broads from in front of Apollo’s den and restocked on wood pile and then picked up trash & recycling from party house.
- I made more capsules for Hoover’s supplement.
- Kept up on the laundry, of course.
- Interns Dylan, Lauren, Steph K, Steph C, Shelby, Sam, Teagan and Mai & Mary did a clean up of both Small’s and Apollo’s enclosures while they are elsewhere.
- Food inventory in the freezers is always fun on a hot day.
Maureen got her final signoff for the feeding tour, and interns got feeding signoffs they needed.
It was great to be back after being away for a couple Sundays. Thanks to all for their help today and always.

Another great Monday! Lots of volunteers came in to help get feeding and cleaning done. It did not rain today but there was lots of water around the sanctuary from last night’s downpour
Projects from today:
- The side of Ariel’s enclosure with the platform was cleaned.
- Sticks were picked up around the sanctuary but there are still plenty more.
- The recovery hospital was swept and mopped
- The rehab cages were moved outside to the cleaning slab.
Picky cats ate well today! The cicle cats loved their icy treats!
We had a big enrichment and operant party at the end of the day for those that wanted sign-offs
That’s all for today!
