Coordinator Report - Lynda Licht

We had a nice Sunday Funday. As usual, we fed, cleaned, organized, weeded, played with kittens, covered tours, did some appeal letters and everyone got the signoffs they needed. Jennifer Ruszczyk started us off with covering meds and feeding Outback tigers.

Rebecca Williams did the keeper tour while Fred Pagan did the feeding tour, with Megan Myers along for a signoff. After the tour, Megan whipped out food prep with some help from me (Lynda). Mazz Amirat and Justin Barragan got feeding sign-offs.

Kate O'Gorman got an operant signoff and Erin Payne and Monisha Prema got enrichment signoffs.

Deidra Ritchie, Mai Richardson, and Stephanie Witherspoon went around first thing in the morning and picked up all the big limbs/branches that were laying around. Then they cleaned small cats with help from Lacy Benton and Mike Surdyk.

Matt Ruszczyk cleaned and doubled checked 2 big sections while Mazz and Fred cleaned the other bigs. I doubled checked after Matt because I love visiting with the leopards (and Manny jaguar of course!).

Barbara Nicholas, Dylan Lavigne, and Howard Baskin were all on the property giving private tours to their special guests.

I also had the privilege of taking care of the servals Ginger, Sheena and Zimba in the recovery hospital. They all had a good day and produce a lot of laundry!

After cleaning and kitten playtime, Stephanie and Mai put in a couple of hours addressing the appeal letters.

Interns Justin, Kate, and Nisha organized the cleaning tool area and then cleaned the golf carts, dump truck and Gertie. They also topped off the battery water. I was using green cart #9 all day so that one needs some attention soon.

Later in the day, the interns cleared out the weeds behind the brush trailer in anticipation of a delivery of new asphalt back there tomorrow.

Becky Gagliardo and Kathyrn Stapleton were there to handle PM meds and wrap up the day.

It rained a light but steady rain just after 3 pm but our stalwart tour guests & guides completed the tours as cats were getting afternoon supplements and snacks. Thanks to Lisa Spencer-Novak for some yummy molasses cookies and to Karma Hurworth, Edith Parker. Regina Turgeon, Marilyn Halpin, June Marsilia, Nicole Weaver for running the gift shop and covering most of the tours.
