Big Cat Updates

Today the vet will be sedating TJ Tiger to trim back an ingrown claw and update his blood work.

Sassy Cougar has been limping too, so she will be sedated to find out why and we will do a complete work up on her too.

Jen R and Des led the keeper tour and the end was quite eventful - a young man proposed to his girlfriend in front of Seth and Andy.  She said YES!

The two tigers approved and ended up eating all their diet.

Today we had a plethora of red shirts (Audry, Danielle, Lacy, Bridget, Stephanie, Diedra and Candice) so those who weren't cleaning worked on Anasazi and Will Bobcat's front bubble and with help of a couple interns, got that done before lunch.  Four of them got quarantine cleaning signoffs from me.

Devin and Rebecca raked the area between TJ and Keisha but ultimately had to stop due to lightning strikes.  Afternoon tours also ended a bit early due to storms.

Divinity is still eating well, took all meds and is extra spunky and feisty and ready to go home I think.   Babycakes did finally eat some ground beef tonight so momma Becky is going to check on him last before we leave.

Cats ate well except for Keisha again.  Mac did finally come out of big den in funcation and ate at PM meds time.   And even Joseph ate in the rain!!

Sometimes you have to fake it before you make it. Sassy Cougar pretends to be fearless, but we know she’s a bit scared, so we give her lots of room and places to stay out of view.

Being fearless is one of the most joyous qualities an individual can develop. If you nurture this characteristic within yourself then there are no limits to what you can achieve in life.
