Keeper Nanci Spires:  Interesting fact about genets (aka leopard weasels), they have a popcorn smell like binturongs! I picked up on this a while ago when changing the bedding for Babycakes and I sort of thought it was a fluke. Babycakes was in the hospital at BCR (he is 22 after all) and the smell was unmistakable. He is so small that you would never get the scent like you would from Banjo – but there it is.

This is an older photo of Keeper Marie, found it while surfing.  Such a dedicated, hard working keeper.  She will tackle any job with a big cheerful smile!  Her cheeriness is quite contagious.   The cats love her!!  The cats here are sure blessed with a care team who loves them as deeply as these amazing volunteers do.  Marie is such a beautiful purr-son inside and out.  I’ve learned a lot from her.

Keeper Afton: I was opening the gate to the property first thing this morning and was greeted by Joseph. What you can’t hear is Cameron was roaring as well. That’s the best good morning I have ever heard!

People Often Ask:  Can we use your video?  People also often ask?  How can I help?

These questions got me to thinking of a way to allow people to have video for their own pages while helping us help big cats.

YOUR Opinion Requested:

We are thinking about making a small collection of 30 to 60 second video clips of the cats here being cats, (roaring, chuffing, playing, sleeping) and some short clips about big cat issues.   If we did, and then made those videos clips available for YOU to download free, do you think it would be something you would be interested in uploading directly to your own YouTube and social media pages such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc?

The last screen of each video would be a link to one of our pages, such as BigCatAct.com or BigCatTV.com etc.  You would have something fun or funny to post on your own pages while helping generate more traffic to our pages.  This is something that will help us reach more people about big cat issues.

Example:  A 30 second video clip of Cameron roaring that ends with a link to BigCatTV.com
