Jen and Kathryn were getting ready for a conference where we will have a booth yesterday. Jen's practice is to set up the entire display, in the Party House, to make sure she has everything she needs. It was the first time I saw the Mickey bag in person and it's a knockout!

BigCatTV.com – THANK YOU!!!

Big Cat Rescue has received a deposit of $5,719.55 which was made possible BY ALL of YOU who watch and share our YouTube videos on BigCatTV.com.  I get excited thinking how many times our videos have been shared because it means a whole lot of people learned about the cats, big cat issues, and the sanctuary last month which is very important.

Viewers frequently ask if there are ways they can help that does not cost money.   Watching and sharing our YouTube videos is a HUGE HUGE HELP!!  First, and most importantly it spreads the word about the cats, the sanctuary, and big cat issues.  Second, when YOU share our videos on your social media pages, like Facebook, Pinterest, G+, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Tumblr, etc for your friends and family to watch you are not only spreading the word about the cats, and issues facing big cats, but are also  actually raising money for the cats.

A few of you have made it a daily thing to pick one of our videos and share it on your Facebook page.  THAT is really a great way to help.  We sincerely appreciate each and every video share.

We have two main YouTube channels.

1) Our main YouTube channel is BigCatTV.com.   This channel has the shorter, more polished, edited fun, funny, FAQ Friday clips, short educational clips, some big cat enrichment clips, and educational videos.  This is the channel where Brian, Chris, and now Afton have posted the videos they make about the cats.  It currently has 765 videos, 464,817 subscribers, 208,522,530 video views.   Last month, May 2017, the videos on this channel were watched 229,015 hours.  THANK YOU for all the shares!!!

2) Our secondary YouTube channel is YouTube.com/DailyBigCat.  It where we put the longer Walkabout videos, vet care videos, behind the scenes videos, video presentations, etc as well as the short clips we post to Instagram.   This channel as 1,111 videos.   It currently has 21,098 subscribers and 5,664,915 video views.

NEW SECTION – Help Name It

Carole got an email from Viewer Kate A. requesting that we add a new section to Big Cat Updates; below is an excerpt from that email.

Email from Viewer Kate A.:  Hi Big Cat Rescue, I am a fan of your videos and Instagram photos. I feel that the daily update pages should have a Big Cat Fan Art section so that fans can submit art of the cats past and present. My first set of fan art consists of Mrs. Claws in honor of her upcoming second birthday and newest rescues Cyrus and Chaos Caracals! Hope you like them.

Here are two pieces of big cat art from Viewer Kate A. to kick the new section off.

Question for Viewers:  We would like YOUR suggestions on what to name this new section.

Submit YOUR original Big Cat Art to lawanna.mitchell@bigcatrescue.org

 WANTED – Graphic Artists

Carole is looking for a graphic artist who really gets what we are all about and would would like to help us with some graphics for shirts.  If that is you or if you know someone like that, please have them email Carole at cat@bigcatrescue.org
