Kundapur, 30 October 2010: A leopard, in an attempt to find its prey chased a dog and fell in to an open well belonging to Ravi Ganiga of Kenchanur in Kundapura taluk, in the wee hours of Thursday, October 28.

The forest officials, who rushed to the spot, emptied the water in the well, with the help of the villagers and only able to lift the corpse of the leopard and the dog from the well, by 7: 00 pm.
