Lions live in a tropical region that has a fairly constant average temperature because:

  1. The sun always strikes these regions at the same angle
  2. Air masses remain stationary near the poles and equator
  3. Earth radiates smaller amount energy back into space
  4. The steady movement of air and water transfers heat energy throughout Earth

Groundskeepers have used the same materials to control insects at the Big Cat Rescue and in the lions’ habitat for years.  But, it has grown less and less effective as time has passed.  Explain why this could be happening.
