Lion and tiger kill man on building’s roof
A man was mauled to death yesterday in
"After the attack, which left scraps of bloodstained clothing on the floor of the cage, the animals were sedated and the tiger’s jaws tied around a chunk of wood," according to Reuters.
Deutsche Presse-Agentur quotes a police spokesman who says "an emergency call alerted police to the attack, but the owner of the building tried to prevent emergency officials from entering the premises. He was arrested, along with three workers of his food distribution business."
Reuters says the lion was transferred to a nearby zoo. The tiger died in transit.
