Lion cub dies of pneumonia in Rajula

RAJKOT: The lion cub rescued from Fachariya village in Rajula taluka of Amreli district three days ago died of pneumonia on Friday morning.
The sick cub, said to be 27 days old, had been found in the fields by a farmer on Tuesday. He was taken by forest officials to their range office in Rajula where a veterinary doctor was treating him. Officials said their attempts to reunite the cub with its mother proved futile as the latter was not ready to accept him.
