ROSTOV-ON-DON, November 28 (RIA Novosti) – Children who found a lion cub walking around their village in southern Russia’s Rostov region took it to school to show their classmates, a local police representative said on Wednesday.

“The cub is pretty small. The animal is currently at the village police station and causing no trouble,” the spokesman said.

According to local news portal SalskNews, the children brought the cub to school and photographed each other with their unusual guest. They were keeping the cub in the school’s gym when the police arrived.

The police are searching for the owners of the cub, which might have escaped from a traveling zoo.
