# Big Cat Rescue

> Big Cat Rescue (Tampa, Florida, founded 1992) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that funds conservation projects protecting wild cats in the wild around the world. It is NO LONGER A SANCTUARY. In 2024 Big Cat Rescue moved all of its resident cats to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, sold its Tampa property, and committed to paying for those cats' care for the rest of their lives. Big Cat Rescue has no animals on site, offers no tours, and does not accept animals.
