We had just enough people to get all of the cats fed, cleaned, and tours covered. We got most of food prep done before tours, so we opened up a fourth tour since we had a lot of people asking and even walk in private tours.

The interns had about 30 minutes to do a couple small tasks, so memorial plaques all got cleaned and wiped off in the afternoon.

Abbey also got started on clearing some palmettos so you can see Maya on her new platform.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Devin Saari’s Coordinator Notes for 3/28/2018

Super busy day!

We almost did not have enough volunteers to get cleaning and feeding done today. But luckily we all pulled together and got it done!

We had two 9 AM and one 11 AM private tour. We also had a kids tour at noon. Three afternoon tours today as well!

Cicle cats loved their treats!

Two meat deliveries today so lots of food to unload!

Food prep was finished at 5, luckily we did not need 2 of the interns for tours so they could stay and finish that.

Here at Big Cat Rescue, literally 100% of your donations are spent directly ON THE CATS!!! We are able to adhere to that strict policy because the other sanctuary expenses, administrative expenses, salaries etc come out of tour fees and other sources of income. We are extremely serious about donations being used JUST FOR THE CATS, just for things directly related to caring for the cats, such as food, medical, pool repairs, etc.

Because of adhering to that strict policy regarding donations, and all of the other ways Big Cat Rescue is transparent in our operations, we have earned Charity Navigator‘s highest 4-star rating for “sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency” EVERY YEAR since we were first evaluated by them in 2010.

Exciting: Here is a quote directly from Charity Navigator’s rating letter “Only 7% of the charities we rate have received at least 4 consecutive 4-star evaluations.” Big Cat Rescue has done it for 7 consecutive years.

In fact, Charity Navigator even gave Big Cat Rescue a score of 100% in 2017!

Is YOUR Representative's name on this list? March 30 2018 Weekly report March 30 439x550
Is YOUR Representative’s name on this list?

STATES whose citizens made the most Calls of the Wild:

  • 🙁 Florida went down by 8 calls.
  • 🙂 New York went up by 8 calls.
  • 🙂 Pennsylvania went up by 5 calls.
  • 🙂 Ohio pounced onto the list with 16 calls.
  • 🙂 Illinois also leaped onto the list with 16 calls.
  • UH OH, Michigan and Massachusetts completely fell off the list and many other states didn’t even make the list.

Let’s keep up the good work and find ways to motivate others to get involved making the Call of the Wild.

Change will NOT happen UNTIL this becomes YOUR PRIORITY!!  Seriously, legislators will not care about this issue until they get so many calls that they can no longer ignore this issue.

LEGISLATORS who got the most Calls of the Wild:

Is YOUR legislator even listed here?  No?  Well, if we each pitch in and motivate ourselves, our friends, and our family to make that Call of the Wild you can see YOUR STATE and YOUR LEGISLATOR on these lists next week.

REMEMBER:  Change will NOT HAPPEN until EACH one of us MAKE THIS ISSUE A PRIORITY!!

Your legislators have no reason to see HR. 1818, The Big Cat Public Safety Act, as important UNLESS YOU step up and make the Call of the Wild EVERY WEEK AND find ways to MOTIVATE YOUR friends and family.

Your friends and family are not going to make the call UNLESS YOU take the initiative to ASK THEM to!

Surely, more people care about saving big cats and their babies from abuse and exploitation.

We cannot do this without EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU doing your part.[/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=”Smile.Amazon.com March Special is Almost Over” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left” google_fonts=”font_family:Open%20Sans%20Condensed%3A300%2C300italic%2C700|font_style:300%20light%20regular%3A300%3Anormal”][vc_column_text]Our Trio of Tiger Siblings Want You to Know There are TRIPLE the Reasons to Visit AmazonSmile, Select Big Cat Rescue as Your Charity of Choice And Make a Purrchase in March – Donations are TRIPLED for First-Time Purchasers!!!
