Great day today!
Jinx, Duchess, Sapphire, & Jasmine were introduced on Facebook today! Armani was moved home from Funcation and Sapphire was moved home from Vacation. Aleesa Salcido, Tanya Chute, & Dylan Lavigne did a great job getting the weed-eated while Victor mowed.
Jinx was moved into Funcation before lunch, and Jasmine was moved into Vacation just after. Tanya, Dylan, Brooklynne Dillon, & Ashley Tait raked the area in front of the Vacation lockouts. Dylan and Brooklynne helped Aleesa move some furniture for the gift shop.
That’s about it. Thanks for a great day!!

Carole received the following heartwarming email.
Thank you for all you do for all cats, big and little, and for my Emotional Behavior Disorder Students!
I just had to share that my students are loving all of the explore.org cameras, but today they had a blast watching the Kitten Cabana! I teach grades 4-8 at a special public school. All my students have Emotional Behavior Disorders and many also are on the Autism Spectrum. Some days they have a hard time remaining calm and can become extremely agitated.
I can show the explore.org camera feeds on a SmartBoard in my classroom. Watching the cats and learning about their stories, especially the abuse they have endured (as many of my students have too), gives my students something to look forward too, a sense of peace, and hope that they too will find a safe harbor soon. I work hard to make my classroom a safe haven for them and the explore.org BCR camera feeds help them to calm down and to remain calm. It truly helps them to relax and focus on something positive.
I just wanted to share this with y’all because I wanted you to know that you are not only positively impacting the lives of cats, but also students that do not have easy lives.
I have one student that informed us a few weeks ago that he was going to get a pet tiger in the future. I assured him that was not a good idea, tigers are not pets, they will eat you, etc. I also showed them the video about cub petting and today I showed them the animated cub petting video. He no longer wants a pet tiger. He told me, “I NEVER knew how they are taken from their Momma’s and abused! We have to stop this now!” Our last project of the year is going to be writing letters to our government officials about the new House Bill. I am trying to set up a video chat with one of our representatives so that my students can express their concerns.
Thank you for all you do for our cats and our students!
You can watch the cat webcams, too at Explore.org/bigcatrescue
