BINGHAM COUNTY, Idaho — A male mountain lion was killed yesterday after it was hit by a car near Interstate 15, Idaho Fish and Game said.Idaho State Police said a woman living near the Interstate saw the cat in one of her trees and called Fish and Game about it.Before they could get there, the mountain lion jumped from the tree and out onto I-15 where it was hit by Eric Meek of Rigby. It caused about $2,000 worth of damage to his car.The driver flagged down ISP and they contacted Fish and Game again. They said the cat was so badly hurt that it needed to be shot.
