KATHMANDU, FEB 17 –
A team of officials from the Central Zoo trapped a leopard at Lubhu in Lalitpur on Wednesday.
The wild cat had mauled at least five people including two police personnel before officials from the Central Zoo, the District Forest Office and the police tranquilised it.
The villagers spotted the leopard at around 6 a.m., according to Assistant Sub-Inspector Naresh Rawal, adding that it must have attacked villagers in self-defence.
On Saturday, the police had shot dead a leopard in Jorpati after it attacked two people.
