The animals at Big Cat Rescue are by far the most healthy and happy felines I have ever seen! The staff and volunteers are extremely knowledgeable and really go the extra mile for their guests. Needless to say, this facility sets the standard by which all animals needing to be in captivity deserve. I will DEFINITELY be coming back!! Sidenote: The servals are AMAZING! I love Frosty! <3

Big Cat Rescue is the most amazing place! The cats are all rescued from bad situations either private owners didn't take care of them or circuses or roadside attractions that have abused them and now they're living out their lives in an environment full of love and the best care available. The tours give you the background on the animals and allow you to see them in a happy place - unlike a zoo or circus. The best tours are keeper tours, feeding tours or private tours. They cost more but are so worth it! (Note in case you're wondering, because these animals are born in captivity, they can't be released into the wild.)

We had the privilege of a private tour on 7/24/18. I am awed by the labor of love in this sanctuary. It is obvious how content these cats are. No pacing or agitation. Just lounging, rolling and interested looks at the crazy visitors in the rain. What an amazing experience! If they can't be in their natural habitats, this is the next best thing. Thank you for taking care of these gorgeous, majestic creatures.

Was there on 7/22/18 and did a day tour. They met us at the gate to save time and get our waiver signed. Saw lots of cats. The interns were lovely and even offered my friend and I free drinks cos we were getting overheated. Definitely want to go back! Everyone there was awesome and you can tell how much they care about the cats and their guests.

This was our second night tour and our 4th time overall. This night tour is the best tour to do you get to see a lot of the cats at dark. This tour was our best ever we saw a lot. It was nice to see Zabu again and her friend the lion my favorites. This is a must tour for everyone and your supporting the cats with your admission fee. Win Win for the cats

It was wonderful. The stories were heartwarming as are all of the efforts and care. We had a tour guide, Miya who was lovely and informative. Her back up was a haughty young woman ( with an English accent) who should be in a back office and not on tours with people. Oh well.. overall we’d go back and loved it.

They do an amazing job by taking care of the cats they provide them with the opportunity to explore vacation rotation which is a big huge enclosure outdoors with pools and platforms and toys they even do Facebook live where we get to see the cats when they go around and give them their meds and breakfast

I loved the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and the pre recorded animal histories were interesting. Despite the heat, alot of cats were out to see the tour. I think we we're just as interesting to them as they were to us. It was sad to hear the things the cats had been thru, but i am glad they are at the rescue. They have a huge area and are cared for well.

I have now visited twice and have been a long term supporter every year. These cats live 10+ longer than they would in the wild, and all have trust funds should something happen to them and the sanctuary closes down or doesn't make it. Everything is so planned out. I have been following BCR for years, and all the good they do for the cats. I finally had the opportunity to go see them, and enjoyed it very much! Susan toured my husband and I around the facilities, telling us so much information about each of the cats and their breed - making the visit amazing. Simba, the newest savannah prisonor to the hellhole known as BCR, deserves a home! These cats do not deserve to be dumped off at a dam roadside zoo like trash! I could not even read the poor kitty's bio. The owner loved this cat?! If she loved him he would of been turned over to "The Savannah Rescue." This wonderful organization would of found a home for him that meets his specific needs. Instead he is never going to know the touch of a human, the closeness that most owners feel for their savannahs; and the savannah feels for their human. This feline was betrayed by his owner. I hope she burns in hell along with the founder of BCR. He is now a prop for their campaign of hate against hybrid cats. This is not love.. It is hate! How can anyone that owns a savannah be so heartless?! I will pray daily that BCR is shut down, and those poor animals rehomed to a place that actually loves these animals. Not to be used as a cash cow for the greedy founder and her family! Funny how I saw a video with Baskin saying what wonderful pets bengals are along with soft pelts. That was when she failed to breed early generation bengals. How funny Baskin's opinion changed, when she realized the money is running a scam rescue. I hate BCR and their supporters! SET SIMBA FREE!

My family and I were there for Father's Day. I can't say enough great things this rescue is doing. The cats are loved and treated so well. A clean n organized facility..cats were not real active due to the heat but getting to see close was amazing...really liked the headsets so easy to hear the pre recorded stories..my elderly mom said it would be great if you could,also hear the tour guide thru the ear piece. Sad to know in our country such rediculous abuse is going on. Some for money and other for vanity. Adopt a kitten people a big cat is not a house pet!!! The trip to see these big guys at Big Cat Rescue was a JOY!!! It was a thrill to see these sweeties being well cared for and obviously loved! The volunteers are enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Had a great experience here- I remember finding out about this place when I was 14 & I became a loyal follower & tried to fundraiser for them (didn’t go so well lol). Finally 8 years later, for my birthday I just wanted to drive to Tampa and be able to see BCR. My boyfriend made it happen and it was truly amazing to finally see this place. It's awesome that there's a local organization dedicated to preserving the integrity of big cats after they are no longer wanted by the people who thought they would make great pets. We did the kid tour and the volunteers did a great job of telling the cat's stories and explaining how they care for and keep the cats. The cats are all so beautiful and amazing and we we're lucky enough to get to see a lot of them.

I appreciate and fully support Big Cat Rescue’s mission. The valuable education they provide, and the support they give to worldwide efforts to save and protect cats from exploitation and trafficking are vital to the their survival. Their facility is amazing - from living space, medical care, enrichment program and dietary needs they provide the closest “living wild and free” environment as possible. These are extraordinary, dedicated and well trained people who are committed to caring for cars rescued from unacceptable situations. Their sharing of stories about their own cats, as well as others around the world, provides us with opportunities to help make an impact on issues like breeding for cub exploitation, private ownership, smuggling, and hybrid breeding. My dream to visit BCR finally came true and it was truly amazing! Not only are the grounds beautiful, the staff and volunteers so nice, knowledgeable and hard workers but the cats are very well cared for and LOVED! Of course we all can agree that freedom is the best way for these magnificent cats to live, however, this is the next best thing as it’s not possible. I spent 3 days doing all the tours and each was special in its own way. It’s very apparent how much these babies are loved and given the best life possible and it’s the cats the make the rules and the keepers are the trained ones - lol Big Cat Rescue is Truly a special place. When you learn about where most of the cats came from, your heart breaks. They now are able to live out their lives in a safe, loving and caring environment!

I came to Big Cat Rescue on 28th April whilst visiting Florida from the United Kingdom. I have watched the live videos and followed BCR very closely over the last year and a half and the tour did not disappoint. The staff were so friendly and you can see just how much they care for these animals and want the best for them and all cats in the future. I am so grateful I got to visit and see just how much work goes on and how lucky these cats are to get a second chance at a loving life. The work they do is incredible and I cannot wait to visit again � Thank you for all you do.

I love watching all the videos that BCR posts. They really do everything that is in the best interest for the cats. I hate seeing these negative reviews. Do you know how hard it is to take care of 70 big cats! All the enclosures, food and medical bills!! It’s a tough job! And BCR has awesome volunteers that come and dedicate their time to help take care of these big cats! I live in Tampa and I am so excited to go visit BCR and take one of their tours! Keep up the awesome work!

I love what BCR has been doing for the big cats in last 20+ yrs. Plus they have a bobcat rehabilitation program that helps save and teaches baby bobcats to fend for their own & then when ready are released back in the wild where they should be. If i could i would help & volunteer for BCR.

We did the Keeper Tour last week and it is not to be missed! You get a real appreciation for the majestic beauty of these animals and just how much they need our protection. Of course, they are cats so our enrichment toys went untouched! ;) They are doing great work here - definitely visit and support them!

We toured the facility while we were vacationing in Florida from Canada. We found the facility remarkable. The cats appeared content with their environment and demonstrated that the cats have enrichment, lots of exercise and free from stress!!! The volunteer guide was very informative and we both learned information about cats and "cat trade industry". We do not believe that anyone should own a wild animal and support the education program of this facility. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff, including the medical team, for the work that you do and your time dedication. It really shows in the standard of care you provide to these gorgeous cats!

It was sad to hear how some of the big cat's lives began. I am so happy for the Big Cat Rescue providing such a sanctuary to all its residents. They even have a resort area for the big cats to enjoy. I want to go back for a night tour.

Yesterday we visited the reserve for a tour. It was fantastic, beautiful cats are large with cages fitted, they seem to be happily living in this wonderful place among so many good people, very nice to everyone. Thanks for this wonderful tour, an eternal experience! :)

My son and I came on April 1st, 2018 for part of our Spring Break trip, we enjoyed our tour and I have some amazing pictures of the Big Cats. We would definitely come back!! Love how they had all the Crazy Cat Lady stuff in the store. I bought so much of it because I own my own domestic cat rescue. Thank you everyone there!!
