Tomorrow 5 Tigers Arrive

BIG CAT RESCUE IS PARTICIPATING IN THE LARGEST RESCUE OF BIG CATS IN U.S. HISTORY – WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS TO HELP US CARE FOR 5 NEW TIGERS!

tigers 2006Big Cat Rescue is right now taking part in the largest rescue of big cats in U.S. history. A number of accredited sanctuaries are collaborating in the unprecedented challenge of rescuing 110 big cats and bears in Colorado. This is a daunting challenge and we really need your financial support.

Big Cat Rescue has agreed to take in 5 tigers and provide them with a safe, peaceful forever home and lifetime care. These new cats will be arriving on November, 17, 2016!

We are rescuing three males and two females; the females will need to be spayed at our Windsong Memorial Hospital soon after arriving at our sanctuary. The tigers range in age from 10 to 19 and we can’t wait to meet them and introduce them to you!

The lead accredited sanctuary in this monumental rescue effort is Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) located in Arkansas. On September 21, 2016, TCWR, in partnership with Tigers in America, purchased the property and equipment of a Colorado-based animal facility, whose owner is in poor health and wanted to ensure the well-being of the 110 animals on the property. He donated the animals, which include more than 70 tigers, to TCWR with the understanding that they would put the welfare of the animals first.

Can we count on YOU to help us financially support these precious tigers and provide them with the lifetime care they deserve? This is your chance to be part of a rescue as it happens and REALLY make a difference in the lives of big cats!

THANK YOU!

Keeper Notes

Many of you are asking why there are only 5 tigers heading to Big Cat Rescue today, instead of 6.  The sixth tiger, Tutt, wouldn’t fit on the trailer.  We were lucky to get five on board.  We are still working with the other good sanctuaries to make sure Tutt either goes to a good place closer by, or gets on the next transport heading to this side of the country.

Meanwhile, please help us get these five home and help ensure they never go hungry again at the donation link above.  You can also give via PayPal to customerservice@bigcatrescue.org or mail a check to Big Cat Rescue at 12802 Easy St Tampa, FL
