Tigers: Arthur, Andre and Amanda, age 21, stroll around waiting for breakfast to be served. Watch more at http://explore.org/bigcatrescue
Evening Walkabout – See several cats, meet some keepers, learn about some issues, and more.
Keeper Desmond Fowles caught Ginger Serval sitting on her tail. “Look Everyone, my impression of a Bobcat”
Keeper Sharon Henry: Mac sure is a handsome fella. He was really enjoying the cooler weather today. Good boy Mac!
The kittens will not be in the Kitten Cabana until after the Wildcat Walkabout. The Humane Society is bringing kittens for adoption and will be using the Kitten Cabana. We don’t want to risk cross contaminating anything. So the Cabana is being deep cleaned for them to use. After the Event this weekend, the Cabana will again be deep cleaned after which the foster kittens here can return.

I told you so! Those stinky Texas Tigers are putting on quite the show already and it’s not even the Wildcat Walkabout yet. Honestly, they give other tigers a bad name with the way they try to act so cute and sweet, cuddling up with each other, walking next to each other … bleh! And just look at what’s being posted on Facebook already! Oh, brother.
Well, they can go ahead and try, but their cute act will mean nothing once the visitors hear my roar. They will walk right away from those stinky tigers hamming it up and head immediately to my royal enclosure. I mean, really – wouldn’t you rather see the King instead of the court jesters?
Which reminds me ….
In my last letter I stated some very specific conditions for me leaving the VR and going back home, involving a red carpet, appropriate musical
accompaniment, turkey legs, and vanilla ice cream. Well, I got one out of the four – turkey legs. I am still waiting for the red carpet, the royal music, and the vanilla ice cream. Please have these delivered to my royal enclosure before the start of the Wildcat Walkabout.
Thank you for your attention. Now get moving before the ice cream melts.

Big cat friend, Lee Durbin: I am not quite sure which Texas 3 this is but I love the reflection in the water. I called it Morning Reflections
Big cat friend, Deb Quimby: I think I spy some hungry tigers!! Ready for breakfast! Their tummies are growling!
People Often Ask – What do you feed the cats?
Big Cat Rescue feeds out 500 pounds of food per day and we use Triple A Brand Meat Company because it is the best and the cats LOVE it. We feed the cats seven days a week in the mornings. However, there are a few cats who are fed multiple times a day.
