Kristine’s Bobcat Rehab Overnight Report
Kristine’s Bobcat Rehab Overnight ReportMALACHITE, ASH and CINDER – In the afternoon, Ash and Cinder were in their secret napping spot for quite a while, then in the late afternoon they came up into the front section to check things out. They intently watched a squirrel up in the tree for a while. They are so cute! They both sat in the corner by the water bowl, side by side and watched the squirrel and moved their tails like mad, lol. So cute!
After a bit, Ash went into the middle section and Cinder paced the fence, while occasionally looking up into the tree. Ash came back up front and they wandered around some more and then after dark, they went to the back section and got up on top of the tall platform to lounge and then cuddle up for a nice long nap.
Later, Cinder woke up and jumped down, then disappeared for a while. Ash stayed on the platform for a bit longer and then he jumped down and went to find Cinder. They wandered around back there for a while and then made their way to the front section to look around there.
Cinder paced the fence while Ash sat in the water bowl corner looking out towards the woods. They would go into the middle sections for a while and then come back to the front to look around and check things out. They would climb on the logs and find something on the ground to bat around a bit, which was adorable and then they went back to pacing. They sat and watched towards Malachite’s enclosure for a little while, too.
They had a quiet night and mainly just went back and forth between the sections checking things out and stopping to look at what’s out there in the woods. Ash took time to get on the Coolaroo and bathe for a bit, before batting at Cinder walking by and then he was off into the middle section, lol.
After a while, Ash went to the back section and got on top of the tall platform to look around and watch things for a short time, while Cinder stayed up front and paced the fence. As I write this, they both are wandering around the front section and watching things. So cute! Love them!!! 🙂
***I didn’t see sweet Malachite overnight at all again. He’s so fast and good at hiding! I’m sure I just miss seeing him at times, too. But I did see him for a short time this morning after it got light. He was in the middle section by the big Palm tree and he was stalking a squirrel outside his enclosure. He was chasing it, so he was off in a second and out of sight, lol. So cute! Love him!!! 🙂
