Memes and Quote of the Day - “If only our eyes saw souls instead of bodies, how different our ideals of beauty would be”

Coordinator Report – Fred Pagan

Busy day. Hot day. Good day.

The morning kicked off with feeding done by Abbey Rivett, Steph, and Sharon Henry. Cassidy got her last feeding observation done, so she’ll be feeding small cats soon!

Sue Reed took care of the Feeding Tour and Steph got a Keeper Tour sign-off from Sharon.

Sue, Mary Lou, Abbey, Steph, Taylor, and Julia rocked cleaning and Abbey and Steph took care of food prep.

This afternoon there was one tour, handled by Cassidy and June.

Thanks to everyone for coming in to help on such a busy day. All of you were pros! Time for the weekend!

AR Zoo & Kitten Adoptions

Come on out this weekend to check out Big Cat Rescue’s AR Zoo at the Citrus Park Mall in Tampa. Learn about Big Cat Rescue and enjoy an Augmented Reality experience featuring big cats. Watch big cats spring to life right off the walls through the ViPic App. PLUS, see some Adorable Adoptable Domestic Kitties such as 4-month-old siblings Ginny & Arthur who were were found outside by Chris Poole and are being fostered by Big Cat Rescue volunteer, Rebecca. They are friendly and love being around people and other cats. Both are spayed/neutered and up to date on their vaccinations.

Kristine’s Bobcat Rehab Overnight Kitten Report

FLINT – Precious Flint was in the middle section a lot of the afternoon. I saw him zooming around back there and laying under the platform watching things and he paced the fence for a bit, too. Then he came into his front sections to wander around and check things out, he played with his enrichment box, getting inside and peeking out the windows. So cute!

Then he got underneath the platform in the right front section to curl up for a nice nap. A while later after dark, he woke up and paced the fence next to the empty enclosure across from his and then he disappeared into the middle section. I didn’t see him much except when he was pacing the fence closest to Malachite’s enclosure for a bit.

He was back there for quite a while and then later he made his way back into the front right section, got up on top of the platform and curled up to take another nap. Shortly after, he got up and wandered around and paced the fence under the cam, then he went into the middle section. I saw him running around back there, playing and then looking over towards Malachite’s enclosure.

He was back there for a little bit and then he came back up front and played. He played on the log and found a stick to play with and was carrying it around, lol. So cute! Then he paced the fence under the right-side cam again. As I write this, he is still pacing under the right section cam. Silly boy! Love him so much!

MALACHITE, ASH and CINDER – In the afternoon, Ash was in the front section and Cinder was napping on the tall platform in the very back section. Ash lounged on the Coolaroo for a bit and then he played with his dinner for quite a while, flipping it everywhere. He took it into the left front section and then he dug around in the grass for a bit, before getting on the den to lounge for a while.

After a while, he saw a squirrel outside the enclosure over by the water bowl and he went over to the Coolaroo to stalk it until it finally wandered away. Then he made his way back to the very back section to look for Cinder. He jumped up on the tall platform with her and they rubbed against each other in the happiness of seeing each other. It was so cute!

Then they both jumped down and headed in the direction of the middle section. They spent a while there and then as the sun was setting they came into the front section to wander around and check things out. As it got dark they got on the Coolaroo and bathed then wrestled a bit.

Then they wandered around, played on the logs and then they made their way into the middle section for a while. Then they went into the very last section and got up on top of the tall platform to curl up and take a nice long nap.

Later they both woke up, jumped down and disappeared for a long time. I didn’t see them in the front or in the very back for quite a while. Later they came upfront and Ash lounged on the Coolaroo and bathed, and Cinder paced the fence, then they went back into the middle section for a while.

A bit before it started getting light they came back up front, to wander around and check things out. They are wandered all over, back and forth in the front and middle sections. Cinder also paced the fence some more. As I write this, they are in the very back section, lounging together on the tall platform. So cute! Love those two! 🙂

I didn’t see Malachite at all. I thought I saw some glowing eyes in his middle section, but they never moved, lol. He is so good at staying hidden!
