Calls of the Wild
This is one of THE MOST IMPORTANT things YOU CAN DO to help save big cats and their babies from a life of abuse and exploitation. Recently the number of calls are drastically dropped. NOW, is not the time to skip those calls but is instead the time we need you to really step up your efforts. PLEASE, for the cats, don’t quit now.
Have you made the Call of the Wild this weekend? You’d only have to speak to voicemail. If you have not made that call yet this week, PURRlease, don’t let the weekend pass you by without making it at BigCatAct.com

Coordinator Report – Sue Messineo
Although we were short volunteers today, those that were here kicked butt! And of course a big thank you to our interns for jumping in where needed. We even got quite a few sign-offs done for both interns and the volunteers. We had a lot of great tours today and an awesome workgroup that finished up Andi’s enclosure and cleaned up Keisha’s old enclosure. Reise came out for breakfast and even laid outside of her den for a while. Hoover actually came over for breakfast and ate almost pretty well.

Volunteer Hours
July = 3005 intern hours contributed by 15 interns. That means these Angels In Blue collectively put in the same hours as more than 18 full time paid staff would have during that same time.
July = 2676 volunteer hours contributed by 93 volunteers. That means these Amazing Keeper Heroes collectively put in the same hours as more than 16 full time paid staff would have during that same time.
August = 1572 intern hours contributed by 9 interns. That means these Angels In Blue collectively put in the same hours as more than 9 full time paid staff would have during that same time.
August = 3107 volunteer hours contributed by 96 volunteers. That means Amazing Keeper Heroes collectively put in the same hours as more than 19 full time paid staff would have during that same time.
If you look to any other animal sheltering type group you will find that they usually have dozens of paid staff if they have our level of income. Thanks to these beyond amazing interns and volunteers we only have to pay about 15 staff members because these volunteers are doing all of the cat care and most of the guest relations. That means more of the money earned and donated can go to the cats and to ending the abuses that cause so many big cats to be discarded.
We want to THANK each and every online viewer who has used Smile.Amazon.com to send in coffee, snacks, and treats for this amazing team of volunteers and interns. YOUR GIFTS have been DEEPLY APPRECIATED For the viewers who have sponsored lunch for the volunteers and interns on project days, YOU ARE TRULY APPRECIATED!!
