Big Cat Updates

We are no longer leaving food out at night for Hoover and he now that he eating better during the day. We are still trying to trap the feral cat that occasionally visits him at night.

Foster Kitten Updates

The following kittens will be returning to the Human Society tomorrow, late morning, to begin looking for their furever families.

Karma and the foster kitten team also asked that all of you get a HUGE THANK YOU for the washable kitten toys!!!!! These toys get put through the wash quite frequently as the Blue Army (Interns) as cleaning the kitten areas in the intern houses constantly.

Coordinator Report – Lauren Buckingham

Today was unusually cool which was great for the first day of Panacur. The cats were active and hungry so everyone ate well.

Tanya got food prep done before lunch.

Dylan, Mike, and Abbey cleaned up the front bubble of Chaos’ enclosure.

Bethany, Mary, M, and Vanessa worked on the memorial wall by Hoover. They took off the plaques, cleaned them and took them to the staff office, ready for magnets, to finally hang them on the new memorial boards. The river rocks were also removed and put into buckets to be reused.

Cameron was liking turkey today. We pulled another whole turkey for him for tomorrow.

The cats with open-air sections are currently in their roof sections in preparation for the upcoming storm. The only one we couldn’t get was Hoover.

Operant and enrichment sign-offs were done.

Thank you to everyone that came in today! It was a lot of fun and good to see so many volunteers out at the sanctuary. ? Once again you were all amazing and myself and the cats appreciate it!

Meet Punkin By Jamie Veronica

Meet Punkin. Found this little guy on the ground cold and covered in fly larvae. Guess I got myself a new project ?

Jamie had saved the special rehab cage they built for Geronimo so Punkin will be able to use if for rehab as well.

This has prompted people to ask about Geronimo. Here is Jamie’s update on Geronimo: “With a G. She hung around for a few days then got adopted into a clan of squirrels and forgot all about her human family.”
